Behind the Scene: Ashton’s 2nd Yr Photo Shoot

A holiday photo session out of the blue! This guy was too cute to let go without getting his pictures taken. I was not familiar with the area so I had to work with what I had: a busy neighborhood, parked cars, benches, fences and signs. Thankfully it was a beautiful day with  a slightly overcast sky. These are some of the photos I took of potential areas for the shoot.

Testing my new Sigma 35mm 1.4 lens.

There were lot’s of distraction in the background, so the chances of this shoot was low

To fix this problem I planned on using a shallow depth of field going no higher than 2.8. This photo was set at 2.5.

Finally found an area that had potential…. and this tree had amazing texture!

.. I couldn’t leave with out taking a photo of it

aperture 2.5 looks so nice.

before the shoot waiting for me with such cuteness

I love it when babies do what you want them to do with out even telling them to. This little guy picked up his suite case full of toys and attempted to walk away with it stumbling. So adorable! Great photo opp!!

… but of course things can never go the way you want them to all the time.
